What is Mini Tennis?
Mini Tennis is designed for young children under 10 years old and is an excellent way to introduce them to the game of tennis. It can be played all year round, indoor and outdoors, in clubs, schools, sports and leisure centres and parks. All the locations have a child protection policy and health and safety guidelines.
See the Lawn Tennis Association Mini Tennis website for more details.
There is also a special LTA Mini Tennis website where you can find your nearest venue, tips for parents, teachers and coaches.
Research shows that children up to the age of 10 years need to learn physical skills such as running, jumping, balance, coordination, throwing and catching, as well as basic tennis skills, if they are to reach their full sporting potential.
At a mini tennis club you should expect to see lots of multi skill activities within lessons, as well as learning and playing games of tennis.
Essential Sports are mini tennis specialists and stock all the products your children will need to enjoy the game. Purchase balls, training equipment and rackets which match your children’s stage. And if you have any questions about what is right fro your child, just contact their friendly sales team.
Mini Tennis is the best way for children to learn tennis!
